... was a three-month-old Black Labrador/Rottweiler mixed breed puppy girl when she was adopted on November 2, 2002 from Second Chance.  Belle (formerly known as Faith) was adopted and returned twice prior to my adopting her ~ and she was Just The One I was looking for when we found each other !

In mid-January 2003, Belle and I graduated from Puppy Class ~ Belle had me almost fully trained, and showed promise of growing up to be 75+ pounds of pure Love.  She was a swift~footed and eager youngster whose abundant energy brought her to an untimely death.  Belle, with us only three months (half of her entire life), was killed in a car accident on Monday, February 3rd, 2003.  The lesson of her loss is noted each day, and she is greatly missed.  We loved you a lot, if not for long ~ be forever leash-free, Baby Belle!
